Admin Types

What are Admin Types?

There are five different types of admin levels within the app admin:

1. Master

- a. Master admin has access to all menu items within the app.

- b. Most commonly used for community admins that will run the app.

2. User Admin

- a. This is used for community team members that are tasked with only managing users.

- b. Access limited to Dashboard, Users, User Roles, Member Groups.

3. Club Admin

- a. Master admins can assign specific clubs that this admin type can manage.

- b. This user may edit club details, add club events, and accept pending requests to join the assigned club.

- c. Access limited to Dashboard, Events & Timeslots, Member Requests, Pages, Club Memberships, specifically for those items related to their particular club.

4. Event Admin

- a. Master admins can assign an event category and/or menu for this user to manage new and existing events.

- b. Access limited to selected event categories and event menus.

5. Marketplace Admin

- a. Master admins can assign specific Marketplace pages that this admin type can manage.

- b. This user may edit Marketplace page details and send push notifications or email newsletters to page followers.

- c. Access limited to Pages, Marketplace Followers, Push Notifications, and Newsletters, specifically for those items related to their particular page.

Create Admin Types

To create Admin Types, please follow the steps below:

  1. From the app Admin, click your email address located in the top right corner.
  2. Click Admins.
  3. Click Edit Admin Types.
  4. Click + New Admin Type.
  5. Enter a Name.
  6. Select one or more Accessible Menus as needed.
  7. Click Save.

Edit Admin Types

To edit Admin Types, please follow the steps below:

  1. From the app Admin, click your email address located in the top right corner.
  2. Click Admins.
  3. Click Edit Admin Types.
  4. Click the name of the admin type you wish to change.
  5. Adjust Name or Accessible Menus as needed.
  6. Click Save.

NOTE

System admin types cannot be edited.

Add a New Admin

To add app Admins, please follow the steps below:

  1. Access the Admin Login page in your browser.
  2. Enter your Login and Password, then click Sign in.
  3. In the upper right, click your email address > Admins.
  4. Click + New Admin.
  5. Enter the Email for the new admin. This will also be the admin's username.
  6. Enter an initial Password. Once logged in, the new admin can reset their password.
  7. Select the admin Type. For details on types, see What are Admin Types?
  8. Click Save.

Add a New Marketplace Admin

To add a new admin responsible for a particular Marketplace page, please follow the steps below:

  1. First, create the applicable Marketplace page. See Create a Marketplace Page for details.
  2. In the upper right of any admin page, find and click your email address.
  3. Select Admins.
  4. Click + New Admin.
  5. Enter the Email address for the new admin. This will also be the admin's username.
  6. Enter an initial Password. Once logged in, the new admin can reset their password.
  7. Select the admin Type of Marketplace Admin. For details on types, see What are Admin Types?
  8. Select one or more Accessible Marketplace IDs that indicate the page(s) that should be owned by this administrator.
  9. Click Save.
