Getting Started

What is a User?

A User is the app’s end user account record and is often interchangeable with resident, prospect, member, or follower. These are the specific records that provide logged-in access to the app and app functionality.

Create a New User

To add a new User, please follow the steps below:

1. In the Admin sidebar, find and select Users.

2. Click + New User.

3. Complete the required fields.

4. Click Save.

IMPORTANT

Be sure to assign the user a User Role. Users without Role assignments will not be provisioned any Smart Buttons in order to engage in the app features. See What are User Roles? to learn more.

Approve a Pending User

To approve a pending User, please follow the steps below:

1. In the Admin sidebar, find and select Users.

2. Click the name of the user you wish to approve. A Pending tag should be visible next to their email address.

3. Assign the User an appropriate User Role.

4. Click Save. This locks in the user role.

5. Click Confirm Registration.

IMPORTANT

This is a two-step process. Assign the User Role, click Save, then click Confirm Registration.

Failure to follow the steps in order results in the user not being assigned smart buttons and limits their app experience.

Users can be automatically granted access based on matching an address. For details, see What is Resident Address - Access Auto Approval?

Change a User’s Role

To change a User’s role, please follow the steps below:

1. In the Admin sidebar, find and select Users.

2. Find and edit the applicable user in the list by clicking on the name.

3. In the Roles field, remove the current user role by clicking x next to the applicable role(s).

4. Add a new user Role.

5. Click Save.

IMPORTANT

Do not save a User without a User Role specified. This creates a poor user experience.

Find a User

To find a User, please use one of the following options:

1. In the Admin sidebar, find and select Users.

2. Search the User by name or email using the Search Users bar, then click Search.

3. Sort users by clicking any of the column headers, such as Name, Phone, or Email.

To clear the search criteria, click X next to the Search button.

Additionally, you can find Users from the Dashboard using one of the following options:

1. To find a user whose profile you were just working with, go to the Dashboard, then click Recently Updated or Recently Viewed.

2. View favorite users by navigating to the Dashboard, then click Favorites.

3. Enter name or email details in the Search users bar and click Search.

Favorite a User

Users can be marked as favorites when you wish to view the user information frequently.

To favorite a User, please follow the steps below:

1. In the Admin sidebar, find and select Users.

2. Search the name of the user you wish to favorite.

3. Click the user’s name.

4. Click Favorite.

To access a list of favorited users, please follow the steps below:

1. In the Admin sidebar, find and select Dashboard.

2. Click Favorites.

To remove a User as a favorite, please follow the steps below:

1. In the Admin sidebar, find and select Users.

2. Search the name of the user you wish to remove as a favorite.

3. Click the user’s name.

4. Click Favorite.
